BLEED KITS ADDED TO TWO MORE LIFE-SAVING CABINETS
We’re proud to share that bleed control kits have now been added to the defibrillator cabinets at both Cobblers Hall Pub, Newton Aycliffe, and The Black Bull, Trimdon Village.

This important development was made possible thanks to support from Kingdom Solutions, with a big thank you to Jean-Pierre for sponsoring the kits. The cabinets now house both a defibrillator and a bleed control kit, providing essential tools for emergency situations.
David Brassel, who had previously arranged for a defibrillator to be installed at The Black Bull, was contacted by Mark from MISSEDABEAT, who was delighted to let him know that further funding had been secured to add a bleed control kit to the existing cabinet. David was more than happy to support the update and also kindly handed over a charity collection box from the pub, with all proceeds going toward supporting MISSEDABEAT’s ongoing mission. A heartfelt thank you to David and the pub’s generous customers!
Mark also replaced the defibrillator pads during the visit and added new signage to indicate that each cabinet now includes both a defibrillator and a bleed kit.

Cobblers Hall Pub is particularly close to our hearts — it’s where Mark and Lee have there Over 40s football team and where the MISSEDABEAT journey truly began. The cabinet is located at the front of the building for maximum visibility and access.
Ian Gore, landlord of the Cobblers Hall Pub, said:
“We’re happy to have another piece of life-saving equipment added to the cabinet and can’t thank Mark and the MISSEDABEAT team enough.”

Both Ian and David expressed their hope that the kits are never needed, but are incredibly grateful to have them available just in case.
Both bleed kits have also been registered on the GoodSAM app, ensuring they are visible and accessible to emergency responders and members of the public in critical situations.
Thank you to everyone involved in helping us make our communities safer.
