We recently had the pleasure of meeting Graham from the Durham Easter Egg Run at GLOW Church in Newton Aycliffe – one of MISSEDABEAT's fantastic supporters and home to one of our 24/7 community defibrillators.
During the visit, we were absolutely delighted to receive a donation of just over £700 after MISSEDABEAT was chosen as one of the Durham Easter Egg Run's supported charities for 2026.
The Durham Easter Egg Run has become one of the North East's most recognised charity events, bringing together thousands of bikers each year to support local causes. The atmosphere, generosity and community spirit behind the event are simply incredible, and we're honoured to have been part of it this year.
This donation couldn't have come at a better time. We're currently looking at new suppliers for our bleed control kits, and this funding could help us provide between 20 and 30 new bleed control kits to be installed alongside our community defibrillators across the North East.
For us, a bleed control kit and a defibrillator belong together. A catastrophic bleed can quickly lead to cardiac arrest, so having both pieces of lifesaving equipment available side by side gives someone the very best chance of survival while emergency services are on their way.

As Graham said during our conversation, MISSEDABEAT is an independent charity that relies entirely on fundraising, donations and community support. Every pound donated helps us install, maintain and improve access to lifesaving equipment, ensuring it is available when someone needs it most.
We're also incredibly proud to stand alongside the other fantastic charities supported by the Durham Easter Egg Run this year:
💙 Northumbria Blood Bikes
💛 Teenage Cancer Trust
🐶 Durham Cats & Dogs Home
🍽️ Feeding Families
❤️ British Heart Foundation
🐾 Pet Angels Wearside
💙 Shaw Trust NE
Congratulations to every one of these amazing organisations. It's a privilege to be recognised alongside charities that make such a positive difference to people's lives across the North East.
Finally, thank you to Graham, every rider, volunteer, marshal, organiser and supporter who continues to make the Durham Easter Egg Run such an outstanding event year after year. Your dedication isn't just raising money – it's helping charities continue their vital work and making our communities stronger and safer.
We're incredibly grateful for your support and look forward to seeing the Durham Easter Egg Run continue to grow for many years to come.

Together, we're saving lives and making the North East a safer place. ❤️🚑
