Newton Aycliffe Youth Falcons Under 11's Supported MISSEDABEAT climbing Roseberry Topping raising vital funds to support the charities mission.

The Newton Aycliffe Youth Falcons Under 11's football team aimed to raise awareness and funds for MISSEDABEAT after the charity generously donated a portable defibrillator and a new training kit for the boys. To show their support, the entire team, accompanied by Manager Scott Latter, Coach Dean Smith, along with proud parents and siblings, took on the challenge of climbing Roseberry Topping.

About Roseberry Topping:

Roseberry Topping is a striking hill in North Yorkshire, known for its distinctive shape and stunning views of the Cleveland Hills and Tees Valley. Standing at 1,049 feet (320 meters), the climb is accessible to hikers of all ages and offers a rewarding experience at the summit.

During the climb, the boys proudly carried MISSED A BEAT boards and showcased them upon reaching the top of Roseberry Topping. With great weather conditions and a group of excited kids and pets (dogs), the walk turned into a joyful and spirited adventure in support of a meaningful cause.

U11 Falcons raised a total of £820 to support MISSEDABEAT, helping fund portable defibrillators for local teams. The funds included £420 from their sponsored climb of Roseberry Topping, where team members, coaches, and families came together for this meaningful cause. Pete also contributed £400 through a football card game for a signed football shirt, which he generously returned to the charity to be auctioned, further boosting fundraising efforts. This shirt was purchased recently at the Evening with John Barnes event.

With the funds raised, the team will now carry their portable defibrillator to all matches across the North East. While they hope it will never be needed, they recognize the crucial difference it could make in a cardiac emergency.

After their hard-fought 2-2 draw on Sunday, November 10, the NAYFC U11 Falcons proudly handed over their £420 donation to Mark from MISSED A BEAT. The funds, raised from the boys’ sponsored climb of Roseberry Topping, will support the charity’s mission to provide more portable defibrillators for local teams. It was a special moment that followed an exciting match, with the boys, coaches, and supporters celebrating both their performance on the field and their meaningful contribution off it. A huge thank you to everyone involved—you’re helping make a lifesaving impact in the community!

The Falcons would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all the friends, family, and supporters who participated. Special appreciation goes to #missedabeat for their unwavering commitment to helping the community.
