From Loose Change to Lifesaving Support – Thank You Black Bull!

Dave and Nicola have been amazing supporters of MISSEDABEAT.
After working together to have the defibrillator installed at The Black Bull, they kindly agreed to place a MISSEDABEAT charity box inside the bar to help ensure the defibrillator remains emergency ready at all times. Recently, MISSED A BEAT replaced the pads due to their expiry date — something that is absolutely vital to keep the device rescue-ready.
A few days ago, Dave and Nicola contacted Mark to let him know the charity box was full… and today we headed to the bank to count it.
We were completely blown away ❤️
💰 £96.60 in loose change
💷 £130 in notes
➡️ £226.60 total
Even more incredible, there were some old notes in the collection, which the bank were happy to accept on behalf of the charity.
It’s amazing to see just how much the community appreciates the work being done — every coin dropped into that box helps protect lives locally.

🔹 Essential upkeep of your local defibrillator
🔹 Ensuring pads are replaced immediately if the device is ever used.
When a defibrillator is used, the pads must be replaced straight away — and it’s community generosity like this that makes that possible.

We were also able to collect another one of our MISSEDABEAT charity boxes — this one contained £11.98.
It might not seem like a huge amount, but every single penny makes a difference and goes directly towards keeping our defibrillators rescue ready. Pads, hygiene kits and replacements are essential after a device has been used, and it’s donations like this that make sure we’re always prepared.
We truly appreciate every coin that gets dropped into our charity boxes — it all adds up and it all helps save lives ❤️
