We’re delighted to officially launch THE LEGENDS NIGHT, our next big MISSEDABEAT fundraising event — and we genuinely think this one is going to be something very special.
On Friday 27th November 2026, we’ll welcome three fantastic names from the world of football to GLOW Church, Newton Aycliffe:
⚫⚪ PETER BEARDSLEY⚫⚪ ROB LEE⚫⚪ CHRIS WADDLE
And yes… Chris is the only one of the three who crossed that particular divide and played for both Newcastle AND Sunderland 🔴⚪ — so we’re pretty sure there might be one or two questions about that on the night!
But just imagine some of the stories these three will have to tell…
England. Newcastle United. Liverpool. Sunderland. European football. International tournaments. Dressing rooms, teammates, managers and those moments supporters rarely get to hear about.
And then, of course, there’s a certain Kevin Keegan… ⚫⚪
England player. Newcastle player. Liverpool legend. Newcastle manager — and the man who took Newcastle United so incredibly close to the Premier League title with a team remembered for its fearless attacking football.
All three of our guests crossed paths with Keegan during their careers in different ways, so we’re sure there’ll be some brilliant memories, stories and probably a few laughs when his name inevitably comes up.
That’s what nights like this are all about.
Getting beyond the statistics and the headlines and hearing the stories from the people who were actually there.
They`ll be football memories, plenty of laughs, music and entertainment, food, memorabilia and auction opportunities — all while raising vital funds to help MISSEDABEAT continue placing and maintaining community-accessible defibrillators and bleed control kits. ❤️💙
And the response has already started!
We’ve already secured a number of corporate packages with businesses supporting the evening, with only a limited number of those packages now remaining.
Ticket sales have started coming in too, which is fantastic to see. ❤️💙
