MISSEDABEATĀ is incredibly proud to announce the installation of a community defibrillator and bleed control kit outside C & A Embroidery, thanks to the continued support of owner Laura Flood.

Laura and her team at C & A Embroidery have gone above and beyond:🧵 Added logos to our bleed control bagsšŸ‘• Helped design and produce our brand-new charity polo topsšŸƒā€ā™€ļø And now preparing to kit out ourĀ Great North RunĀ team with charity vests, sweatshirts, and tops!

When Mark from MISSEDABEATĀ approached Laura about installing a defibrillator at her premises, she didn’t hesitate. Not only did she welcome the idea, but she also volunteered to become the official GuardianĀ of the defib. The cabinet now includes:āœ… A defibrillatorāœ… A bleed control kitāœ… Both registered with The Circuit and GoodSAM – ensuring emergency services have instant access when every second counts.

This vital equipment was previously located at 8 Northfields Way (Cross-Fit) but has now found a new home near ALL OUT Strength and Conditioning, run by Terry "Tez" Anderson, at 32 Durham Way. Tez, a long-time supporter of MISSEDABEAT, wanted to ensure safety for the 100+ children and numerous adults (aged 16–68) who train with him weekly. Tez has backed us since day one and continues to make a huge difference in the community. šŸ’Ŗ

To make this even more impactful, MISSEDABEATĀ has created clear, eye-catching signage so everyone knows help is close by. A huge thank you to Peter and John at PalramĀ for donating the boards that make this possible.

šŸ’¬ A message from Flexspace, owners of the industrial units:

"A special thank you to Gary Sheppard and the team at GCEĀ for fitting the unit, and to the MISSEDABEATĀ foundation for providing this life-saving equipment. This is a powerful reminder of how small actions can make a big difference. Quick access to a defibrillator can save lives — and we’re grateful to everyone involved for helping to make our site a safer place."

šŸ‘‰Ā Going forward, MISSEDABEATĀ plans to add bleed control kits to all community defibrillatorsĀ installed since the charity began, as well as supporting others with defibrillatorsĀ within the business park and surrounding areas. Mark would love to hear from anyone open to working together to expand this life-saving network.
