After reaching out to Gestamp, I was lucky enough to be invited to speak to the committee team on 31st October, where they also handed over a cheque for £250 towards the MISSEDABEAT charity.
During the meeting the committee listened to my views on how best to support the Aycliffe industrial estate, and also the community of Newton Aycliffe.
I outlined my plan, and how having local business working alongside the MISSEDABEAT charity we can achieve our aim in making Newton Aycliffe business park, one of the safest places to work.
The committee advised that they would like to support MISSEDABEAT and agreed the best course of action would be to have defibrillator installed outside the gatehouse, that would be registered on the national circuit and available in any emergency 24/7.
MISSEDABEAT immediately set out ensuring this was actioned and within 4 weeks have installed the defibrillator.
Alastair Waugh Wellbeing Lead at Gestamp has been a great support throughout.
Massive Thank you to another one of are electrical angels from Lacegold Electrical & Mechanical Services LTD who installed the cabinet free of charge.
Phil Barber worked through the morning in the freezing temperatures ensuring the the cabinet was ready to be used in any emergency.
