Brafferton Village have defibrillator installed after year of fundraising

The Defibrillator is installed on the outside of the Village Hall, to the

right of the main entrance.

A year ago the community started fundraising and donating for this life saving equipment. Yesterday, 28th February, we finally had it installed!

The community raised a WHOPPING £1,325.00 through various events and individual donations. The committee were initially advised that the Defibrillator purchase and installation would cost £2,000.00. However, after working with MISSEDABEAT, who are a local charity based in Newton Aycliffe, passionate about supporting communities by installing Defibrillators. With their support, we

have been able to bring the target cost down to £1,200.00 and

the Village Hall Committee have donated the additional £300.00

towards the MISSEDABEAT charity.

Defibrillator user awareness training, in partnership with MISSEDABEAT and Community Spirit Newton Aycliffe are delighted to offer the Community access to basic Defibrillator User Training.

This will take place within the Village Hall on Sunday 14th April 11am, the training is completely free of charge, refreshments will be available.

As MISSEDABEAT is a charity, there will be a donation box for anyone wanting to contribute to their hard work and dedication to the cause!
